Hello, yesterday my relatives came to visit me and they're staying with me, my mum and Ellis in our villa in NYC until Friday lunchtime so I thought I'd interview them about the experience for my blog. The relatives live in NYC anyway so it's not too big a transition for them either, there's my Uncle Paul and Aunt Marcelle as well as my 19 year old cousin Skylar and 21 year old cousin Maribell. In case you're wondering why me and my family are in NYC instead of LA, it's because before my dad died he bought a vacation villa in NYC so we wouldn't have to pay to stay in a hotel whenever we went there on vacation so we're there at the moment in dad's old villa which is awesome. Anyways - I talk too much - here are the interviews:
UNCLE PAUL:
Hi, Uncle Paul, what's it like sharing a house with so many people?
"If you were just friends, you'd drive me insane, but we're all related and it's nice to be surrounded by family, it keeps me grounded and makes me feel safe and secure which is the most amazing feeling. I love seeing you all laughing, joking and spending so much time together bonding, we're becoming closer and I like spending time with you all, it's great."
Don't you get a bit annoyed with all the noise and not being able to have any peace and quiet?
"Sometimes, but the villa's huge so it's pretty easy to seperate myself from everyone else because there are so many rooms and floors, I always imagine if you played hide and seek you'd never find each other again. It's strange, isn't it?"
What's your favourite thing about NYC and where's your favourite place to go?
"My favourite thing would have to be that there's always something going on, in NYC there's never a dull moment and it's really easy to find something to do when you do become bored. My favourite place is Madison Park because it's such a nice area and there's always something going on, it's really cool!"
Thanks for talking to me, Uncle Paul, I'm sure my readers enjoyed reading your interview...
"Thanks for interviewing me, Ivan, my message for your readers is: 'visit NYC this summer because it's an amazing, historical place where happy people live' you're an amazing nephew, Ivan!"
AUNT MARCELLE:
Hey, Aunt Marcelle, do you enjoy spending time with your family?
"Of course, my family is something very important to me especially since your dad died, Ivan, he was such a wonderful brother and he's not around anymore so we must stick together and support each other through these tough times."
Was it difficult raising two daughters and who was the fussiest child - Maribell or Skylar?
"It's difficult when they're kids but once they reach a certain age, they start taking care of themselves a lot more and it makes life easier for the parents, Skylar matured faster than Maribell so Maribell was a more difficult child because she was very rebellious and demanding but Skylar's quieter and will entertain herself when we're too busy to do things with her."
Which daughter do you feel closer to?
"It depends because they're never home at the same time so which ever one is at home, that's the one I'm closer to, I have a special relationship with both of my children and even though they're adults, I'll always see them as my little babies and so will your mom, Ivan."
Thanks for letting me interview you, Aunt Marcelle...
"You're welcome, Ivan, good luck in your exams!"
Oh, thanks!
SKYLAR & MARIBELL:
Hi, guys, are either of you in a relationship?
S: "I only discovered boys recently so I'm not ready to be tied down yet, I'm single and ready to mingle! I'm out clubbing every night flirting with men and getting drunk - it sounds terrible but I'm a bad girl when it comes to staying out late. I'm literally like 'f*** my curfew!'"
M: "I am dating a guy right now, but we've only been out two months so I don't know where the relationship's going, you're really lucky to have such a comitted relationship, Ivan! Mercede's awesome!"
Do you argue lots because you're sisters?
S: "Like all siblings we have our little disagreements but nothing serious has ever happened between us that's been really horrible and we've never had a huge fight or anything along those lines! We're like best friends and we hang out whenever we're both at home but we don't go out together, it's bad enough living with each other!"
M: "I agree with Skylar - see? We didn't argue about that! We argue but we love each other lots and have a great friendship compared to some sisters."
Any celeb crushes?
S: "I think Robert Pattinson's really hot, I saw Eclipse and drool was literally hanging out of my mouth - I looked like such a chav - my friends were embarrassed to be seen with me!"
M: "I like Zac Efron because I think he's gorgeous and Taylor Lautner's fit too and I'll always love my first celeb crush Jesse McCartney! But they're all really hot, so it's hard to choose one specific favourite."
Do you love me?
S: "You're family, but I'm not crazy about you - only kidding!"
M: "Duh! You're the coolest cousin ever, Ivan, you're f***ing famous for god's sake!"
