For some reason, I'm going through a phase where I'm obsessed with metaphors (take my last post "The Apple Tree" for example) and I've been thinking about what you can metaphorically compare a relationship to and just as I was thinking Charice's debut single Pyramid (ft Iyaz) came on to the radio and I had an idea - a pyramid! So here's my latest metaphor and hopefully my last because I'm becoming such a nerd:
A pyramid has approximately four to five layers of what appears to be sand but could easily be something else. Those four (to five, but I'm guessing four!) layers each represent a base, the bottom base represents holding hands, the second base is kissing, the third base is french kissing and the fourth base is "it" if you don't know what I mean then tough! Each base represents a different part of the relationship and when you break up the pyramid crumbles, I guess that's the best way of describing a relationship and the ones built solidly last the longest! (Obviously me and Mercede ran out of foundation!)
