Recently, Katy Perry and I were on the phone and our conversation went a little like this (well, part of the conversation anyway) she asked "can I ask you a question?" And I replied "sure, Katy, you can ask me anything, what's wrong?" "A magazine asked me what my brain's like and it got me thinking what it's like inside yours. So can you tell me?" "You mean like my thoughts and a world full of Ivan?" "Exactly, go ahead and answer my question!" A lightbulb flickered inside my head "Katy, you genius, this is rich! It's a great idea for my blog - a peek inside my own brain! I'm so lucky to have you as a friend." Katy sounded impatient now "are you going to answer my question?" Silence. "Hello, Ivan? Is your phone dead or something?" "Katy, I've got to go, I'm sorry" "it's fine, Ivan, listen...." I hung up on her (is that really bad, I don't want a reputation like Simon Cowell's for messing with KP's mind lol!) So I asked Ellie to interview me about the contents of my strange, twisted mind!
Hi, Ivan, why did you want me to interview you about the contents of your mind again?
"It was Katy's idea, I think I should have a close relationship with my viewers and what better way to make sure they understand me than by giving them a private tour of my mind? It's not totally insane, is it?"
No! Let's move on....what are you thinking right now?
"Hahaha! Actually I was just thinking about how cute you look today, is that a new shirt or something, Ellie? You look really hot!"
Ivan, you don't want to make Mercede jealous, you goofball! This shirt's ancient, I got it when I was like six or something! Anyway, enough about me, what does your mind look like?
"I don't know, do you want me to like rip open my head and see? Haha! It's a pretty scary place in there full of tunes and lyrics and fluffy clouds full of nothingness - stuff like that! My mind's a twisted place."
Who do you think about most often?
"I think about my mum and dad lots, I'm protective of my parents especially my mum, if anything happened to her and I wasn't a witness then I'd never forgive myself so I get really worried when I leave her all alone in our house."
I don't think viewers realised you lived with your mom....
"She's my mum! It's just temporary because my roommate's an asshole - don't tell him that. Remind me Andy cannot read this interview!"
