The end of summer: NYU or Columbia???

Recently I've been doing a lot of thinking about which college I'm going to attend once summer's over and I've finished preparing for my exams, it's a really nerve-wrecking last few weeks of freedom and I've been kind of torn for a while now because my mum has been doing a lot of research on the internet and she wants me to go to Columbia but I hate the idea of going somewhere like that so I want to go to NYU like my dad did. I've visited the campus and sat my entrance exams and have been offered a place so I'm a shoo-in but should I follow my heart and disappoint my mum or go to the school of her choice? I'm torn! I don't know what to do! I'm going to be taking a break from my career so I can get a proper education followed by some kind of internship or part-time job....I don't really know! Ellie's going to Brown and Andy's going to Yale and Mercede's going to Dartmorth and I don't even know where that place is! Whatever, I'm thinking about the future and what the end of summer means for me.
